Hey there!
I’m Lauren, a psychotherapist practising in Scotland, UK.
It was only a few years ago that I was working in a psychiatric hospital, where alarms were constantly going off, the office was hot and stuffy, and I was working long hours to support up to 5 complex trauma clients a day.
And now, I’m writing this from the comfort of my home, where I get to spend time with my young daughter and don’t start work earlier than 10 a.m. My office is decorated with fun artwork I chose, with a view of my garden, and my cat Kiko always curled up nearby.
Learning how to use Instagram completely changed my life. In my first year fully in private practice, I was able to scale to £100k in business - while working part time hours.
Instagram helped me get invited to high-profile brand partnership deals, and get writing and design opportunities with big names like This Works, Hello Magazine, The Therapy Notebooks, Counselling Directory & Happiful.
Instagram also allowed me to expand my income well beyond serving 1:1 therapy clients. I was able to launch an online course called Nurturing your Nervous System, which has made over $38k and counting…and I have an ongoing paid retainer with wellness brand This Works as their Psychology Expert!
